Camping Program

All students participate each year in the camping program which provides students with the opportunity to experience and put into practice, the cognitive, physical, emotional and social skills which have been taught as part of the general and specialist programs. The Camping program has been carefully planned to ensure that camps increase in duration and challenge as students move through the year levels within the school. The Early Years and Primary students begin the camping experience with Day Camps.

Secondary and Senior Secondary students have been provided with a wide range of quality experiences at a number of well-established, accredited camp locations.

The school accesses the following locations:

Surrounded by the stunning Wombat State Forest the Centre was established in 1970 and provides the ideal setting for adventure, environmental, creative and developmental programs aimed at extending the abilities of students with special needs. The layout of the Centre complements and utilises the natural beauty of the property to provide a variety of activity sites designed to challenge students both individually, and, within a team environment to further their personal, emotional, social and physical development.

The Portsea Camp

The Portsea Camp is situated on Port Phillip Bay here in Portsea, with direct beach access, a full size oval, high ropes courses, lots of canoes, sports equipment available to hire and wonderful northerly views to Melbourne.
